Personal coaching works well for busy owners who appreciate convenience, focused instruction, flexible schedules, and the ability to work at a self-directed pace. Private training is highly personalized and tailored to exactly what you want your dog to learn. Whether it's house training or nail-trimming, jumping on guests or stealing your socks, we'll design a training plan to meet your needs. We coach you to train your dog. We'll show you how, help you along the way, and follow up between sessions as needed.

How Often?
If you simply want the dog to learn not to dash out the door, perhaps one lesson will be all you need. Owners usually have several goals, which may take multiple sessions to accomplish. Most clients schedule weekly or every-other-week lessons. Of course, your practice between visits will be a major factor in the speed of your dog's achievements.
In Home Lesson - $125/hour
Initial consultations often last from one to two hours. Subsequent lessons usually take one hour. All private lessons are billed in quarter hour increments after the first hour. You may book individual lessons as needed. For in-home lessons, an additional mileage charge may apply for more than 30 minutes of drive time one way.
One 90 minute in-home lesson and four weeks of Puppy Class, plus unlimited Puppy Socials. House training, puppy management, nipping, chewing, socialization, and beginning manners (come, attention, down). No force, just lots of fun, while your puppy learns a bit of self-control and responsiveness to you. $250.
Our specialty is helping the rescued dog adjust to his new home. Learn about preventing separation anxiety, house training the adult dog, and crate training. We will address any shyness, boldness or socialization issues in your new family member, and get started on basic house manners. Price includes a 10% discount for dogs adopted from a shelter or rescue group in the past 3 months. Two private lessons: choose in-studio, in-home, or one in each location.
In-studio: $135 ($15 rescue discount)In-home: $225 ($25 rescue discount)

Custom Packages – Private Lessons can be scheduled as often as you wish. Initial session is 60 to 90 minutes, and we’ll get you going with techniques to use on the spot. We’ll discuss your specific goals and how to reach them in the most efficient way. We will create a custom package at a discounted rate for the number of sessions anticipated. Packaged lessons must be prepaid and completed within 3 months from start date. Between lesson email or phone support is included.

Appointment Scheduling and Payment Policies:
In-Studio Lessons: hourly fee will be charged for the appointment time reserved, regardless of your arrival time.
In-Home Lessons: hourly fee begins when trainer arrives at your home. We always strive to be prompt, and will call if we are running more than 5 minutes late.
Cancellations/Rescheduling: In case of illness or emergency we will gladly reschedule your appointment. No-shows will be charged the full hourly fee. Other reschedule requests may result in full or partial appointment charge.
